Adding iTunes to the Company Portal

When you want to add an Modern App to the company portal, you will probably start looking for it in the Microsoft Store for Business.

Most applications are there, and you can buy them for your company and then publish them in the company portal or Business Store.
However, some applications aren’t listed, so you have no way of adding them to the company portal. There can be several reasons for this, but most likely it’s either the choice of the developer (drop them a line) or, the app offers in-app purchases. The Microsoft Store for Business does not support this, so your users will need to have their own personal store account.

But what it you still want to publish the app in the company portal? Or get asked to make the app available in the Company Portal. Let’s say for this example the app in question is the recently to the store added iTunes app.

Error adding machines to Windows Autopilot

Yesterday I ran into an issue when adding a Surface Pro 4 to Autopilot. The machine is not new and has been used before in a traditional setup, AD joined and managed by SCCM. After recovering the Surface with the USB recovery image, I used the get-windowsautopilotinfo powershellscript inside of the OOBE to collect the necessary information in a XML

After entering the Microsoft Store for Business I’ve tried to add it. This threw an error. Luckily you can download the error as a csv file.

Enrolling into the insider program with Intune

With Windows 10 1803 knocking at the door, it might be a good idea to start testing it in production. I will show how to enroll one or more modern managed machines into the release preview ring of the Windows Insider Program.

The first step is to register your AAD tenant to the Windows Insider Program for Business. You will need to sign in with a global admin to register your domain.
